Udemy Military Free - I was browsing LinkedIn late last night and saw an article that mentioned that the United States was the United States. Civilians in the military can access Udemy Business, and the post mentions that anyone can sign up with an army.mil address. This morning I went and registered and below I'll walk you through how to register and some of my favorite courses.
Udemy is an online marketplace for online courses. They are what I would call market leaders in this field. The courses they offer range from business and leadership to IT and cybersecurity and more. Over the years, I've spent thousands of dollars on Udemy courses, especially since using the mobile app (link below) makes learning so much easier. Udemy Business is a tool that allows businesses, or in this case the military, to buy licenses in bulk and provide training to all of their employees. Jason Dion is an amazing instructor and I really enjoyed his Security+ course on Udemy. If you're active on the verification subreddit or Discord server, you'll quickly see that this course is popular with a lot of people. Also, their exams are very similar to real SECOND+ exams.
When I recently got my CCNA, this was the process I went through. Every lesson has at least one Packet Tracer lab, and if you have any problems, he goes through all the labs with you. Even if you don't have free access to this course, it's absolutely one of the best if you want to learn Cisco.
Mike Meyers has been in IT education for a long time and I love the way he creatively explains difficult concepts. He is part 1 teacher and part 1 entertainer. His videos do a really good job of keeping you engaged and relating what you are learning to real life scenarios.
